Craig Davidson

Choreographer
Nationality: Australian

Career

 

Originally from Australia, Craig Davidson is an international choreographer based in Berlin, Germany. Craig trained at the New Zealand School of Dance and performed as a soloist with the Finnish National Ballet, Royal Ballet of Flanders, Tanz Luzerner Theater and the Semperoper Ballett and was awarded a Critic’s Choice Award by Dance Europe for ‘Most Outstanding Performance by a Male Dancer’ for his performance in Impressing the Car by William Forsythe.

In the early stages of Craig’s choreographic career he attended Danclines 2013 – the choreographic initiative at the Royal Opera House in London with Kim Brandstryp. He was nominated for the Rolex Mentor and Protógé Arts Initiative in 2014 and selected to participate in the New York Choreographic Institute in 2014 and again in 2017 – an affiliate of the New York City Ballet.

World premiers have been created for the Royal Ballet of Flanders, Ballett Zürich Junior Company, West Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, Ballett Dortmund, Tulsa Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Idaho, Ballet X Schwerin and the Origen Festival Cultural as well as re-staging works for the Slovakian National Ballet and Ballettschule Theater Basel.

His works have also been performed internationally by principal dancers from the Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, La Scala Milan, Ballet de l’Opera de Paris, Semperoper Ballett and Ballett Zürich. In 2025 Davidson choreographed Eugen Onegin with Bühnen Bern Opera under the direction of Árpád Schilling. Since 2021 he has been a regular guest teacher and guest rehearsal director with Ballett Bühnen Bern.

In season 2022/2023 he stepped into the position of interim rehearsal director and choreographic assistant. Throughout this period he has assisted choreographers such as Caroline Finn and Ed Wubbe as well as working on pieces from Edward Clug, Marie Chouinard and Kørsia among others. Craig has also been a regular guest teacher with companies Theater Basel, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Ballett X Schwerin, Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and the ART of summer programs in Zürich and Madrid and he has a Certificate in Arts Management through the New York University. Season 2025/2026 sees Davidson creating new works for Ballet Nacional Sodre, Friedrichstadt Palast Berlin – Blinded by Delight and Ballett-Akademie München für Music und Theater München. Entropy will be performed with the Slovakian National Ballet for the 6th season consecutively, Lightness of Being at the International Ballet Gala of Augsburg Ballet in Germany, Reminiscence at the Ballet Gala of Vanemuine Ballet in Estonia and Framed Freedom will be re-staged for Europe Dans Company and have it’s Belgian premiere.

Ken Ossola

Choreographer
Nationality: Swiss

Career

Ken Ossola started dancing at the early age of 16 and he was accepted at l’École de Danse de Genève and eventually joined the Ballet Junior de Genève.

In 1989, under the leadership of Gerald Tibbs and the Artistic direction of Jiri Kylian, Ken was invited to join Nederlands Dans Theater 2. For the next two years he developed himself as an artist working and creating with leading choreographers such as Hans Van Manen, Ohad Naharin, William Forsythe, Martino Muller, Paul Lightfoot, Nacho Duato, Johan Inger and Jiri Kylian. 

This led him to join NDT 1. Collaborating with Jiri Kylian on a great number of creations including One of a Kind, Blackbird, Tiger Lily, Wings of Wax and Bella Figura, he became one of NDT’s most recognized dancers.

Mr.Ossola worked very closely with Jiri Kylian and started developing his interest for choreography and in 1999 decided to stop dancing to pursue his career as a choreographer. 

Ken Ossola has choreographed for more than twenty years for international renowned dance companies and organizations such as Grand Théâtre de Genève, Grand Ballet Canadiens, Shanghai Ballet, Boston Ballet, Bavarian State Theater , Tanz Luzerner Theater among others.

Mr.Ossola passion and key to choreography has been observing dancers and allowing himself to be swept away by their movements, suggesting, re-formulating a step, as if painting on a canvas.

As well as choreographing, Ken enjoys working in the studio as ballet master. He has worked in that capacity for NDT during their 2004/05 season and has assisted Kylian during the creation of Zugvögel at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich, as well as staging his work and Hans van Manen pieces worldwide.

Duncan Lyle

Choreographer
Nationality: Australian

Career
Duncan Lyle was born in Melbourne, Australia, and began his ballet training at Camberwell District Ballet. In 2007, he was accepted into the Royal Ballet School, from which he graduated in 2010, before joining Boston Ballet the same year.

In 2012, Duncan joined American Ballet Theatre (ABT), where his repertoire includes roles such as Tybalt in McMillan’s Romeo and Juliet; Kaschei in Ratmansky’s Firebird; Step-Sister in Ashton’s Cinderella; Gamache in Don Quixote;among others.

In 2018, Duncan founded Duncan Lyle Dance, a dance company based in Manhattan, focusing on classical ballet technique and excellent music. The company gave its first performances at the Martha Graham Center for Contemporary Dance.

In addition to creating works for Duncan Lyle Dance, Duncan has choreographed for the American Ballet Theatre Incubator, New York Theatre Ballet, CoLab Dance, Intermezzo Dance Company, The Royal Ballet School, and Columbia Ballet Collaborative.

Andrea Crescenzi

Choreographer
Nationality: Italian

Career

Born in Potenza in 1996, Andrea Crescenzi began nurturing his passion for dance from a young age. In 2006, at the tender age of 10, he was admitted to the renowned ballet school of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he obtained his diploma in 2015.

That same year, he joined the corps de ballet of Teatro alla Scala, delving into his calling for choreography. In 2019, he brought to life “Spectra,” a creation designed for six dancers, successfully presented during the dance season at Teatro Comunale di Cesenatico.

Subsequently, Andrea had the opportunity to collaborate with renowned international artists in creating performances and artistic interventions, and he was commissioned to create a show for the opening ceremony of Milan Design Week.

Crescenzi created “Luce” for Teatro alla Scala in Milan, a compelling pas de trois presented at the dance gala dedicated to Carla Fracci, and premiered a new work, “Soul of Dust,” with Kayzer Ballet in Portugal.

Andrea is currently working on new projects to disseminate his choreographic vision through notable artistic interventions, galas, and masterclasses

GCDANCEVENTS represents Andrea Crescenzi in Italy and worldwide, promoting his creations and his fresh and innovative choreographic style.

Tamir Ginz

Choreographer
Nationality: Israeli

Career
After completing his dance training in Israel and abroad, Tamir Ginz performed with the Haifa Ballet and was a dancer in the Batsheva Dance Company under the artistic direction of Ohad Naharin (1991-1992).

Ginz was the resident choreographer for the Bat-Dor Dance Company in Tel Aviv and the main contemporary dance teacher in the Bat-Dor studios of Dance (1991-2001). His first creation for Bat-Dor, Platform 1, won him the 1997 Albert Gaubier award for choreography in Denmark.

In 2002, he left Bat-Dor Tel Aviv to establish KAMEA Dance Company with Daniella Schapira in Beer Sheva, the southern metropolis of Israel. Since 2014, Ginz has been the sole artistic director and house choreographer of Kamea. His works, artistic vision, and leadership have brought the company to widespread international success and recognition as one of Israel’s most prominent dance companies.

Ginz’s work combines an intriguing dance movement style and a personal statement that produce strong dramatic pieces. His works have moved audiences worldwide: Germany, Mexico, Italy, Switzerland, Ecuador, Panama, India, Cyprus, Lithuania, Turkey, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Portugal, China, and more.

Ginz holds a B.A. degree in English Linguistics and Literature and Sociology from Haifa University and a teaching diploma for dance from the Kibbutz State Seminar College. Ginz has taught Graham-based contemporary dance in many of Israel’s leading schools. He was the founder and director of the dance department at “Blich High School” in Ramat-Gan (1997-2013).

Ginz won the award for outstanding “Zionist” creativity in arts from the Israeli Ministry of Culture in the field of dance in 2014 and 2015.
